Andorra nestles between France and Spain in the Pyrenees and enjoys a duty free status. This all-round destination is perfect for beginners and intermediates, with much sought after ski schools offering English tuition. Whilst not as plentiful, there are challenges enough on an Andorra ski holiday to keep advanced skiers on their toes.
The main ski regions include Arinsal, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu & El Tarter. All boast ideal skiing and boarding conditions and fantastic après ski. Value for money is key in Andorra, where socializing, eating out and shopping don’t come at premium prices.
Arinsal is part of the Vallnord ski area and is closest to the Spanish border. It’s as well known for its après ski as it is for its skiing. Pas de la Casa, part of the Grandvalira ski area bordering France, has a reputation for being the liveliest of the resorts. Whilst Soldeu and El Tarter neighbour each other and offer great après ski and no end of tax free bargains.
Skiing in Andorra is a particular favourite with young skiers, such is the draw of its lively après ski and snowboarding conditions. But, families will also enjoy what’s on offer here.
