Kaprun is a small village located in the middle of Hohe Tauern National Park. It sits beneath the majestic Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at a height of 786m. Boasting a huge number of varied runs, to include high altitude pistes, skiing in Kaprun is ideal for all abilities.

Novices can perfect their techniques on the gentle nursery slopes beside the village, moving on to the many easy runs of the Maiskogel and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. For intermediates, there are over 130kms of piste to navigate in the Kaprun Zell am See Europa Sportregion. The experts can test their mettle on seven black runs throughout the area, some with challenging moguls. And some of the runs on Zell am See's Schmittenhöhe Mountain are definitely not for the faint hearted.

Snowboarders are very welcome in Kaprun, where the terrain lends itself perfectly to the sport. The Maiskogel area offers some great rails and kickers, while the Kitzsteinhorn boasts a 150m long superpipe with 5m high walls.

Nightlife is diverse and plentiful on a Kaprun ski holiday. Choose from lively bars, rustic stubes or relax over a meal in one of the many restaurants.
