Kitzbühel sits between the Hahnenkamm at a height of 1712m and Kitzbühler Horn at 1996m. This small mediaeval town is the fanciest of all Austria’s ski resorts and its shops, restaurants and nightlife reflect this.

Advanced skiers will be well challenged on the 'Hahnenkamm Streif', and by the gigantic moguls and exhilarating off-piste at Ehrenbachhöhe.

A ski holiday in Kitzbühel is great for snowboarders too. Catering well for all abilities, from the novice to the fearless – with a board park, wide open blues and a new 3S gondola opens yet more gruelling possibilities for advanced boarders.

Nightlife in Kitzbühel centres round lively bars and cosmopolitan nightclubs. Adrenalin junkies might prefer an energetic cross-country ski or maybe a twirl around the ice rink. Relaxed types can enjoy bathing in the 25m Aquarena pool and afterwards winding down in the mud baths or saunas. 

There’s a fantastic assortment of cafés and restaurants to refuel even the hardiest skier. Efforts of the keenest shopaholic and souvenir hunter will be well rewarded in the boutiques and shops dotted around the town centre. For those who like a shot of culture, skiing in Kitzbühel offers plenty of opportunities, with mediaeval archways and cobbled streets to explore.
