Lech, as well known for its famous visitors as its great ski terrain, sits at an altitude of 1444m in western Austria. Part of the extensive 'Arlberg Ski Circus', it boasts wonderful opportunities for skiers of every ability. The village has much to offer besides great skiing though, with quality accommodation, choice dining and a fabulous après ski scene.

Beginners will enjoy the easy nursery slopes beside the village, before progressing to the long, wide blues nearby. For the intermediate skier, the Schlegelkopf or Schlosskopf lifts open up a host of rideable possibilities, while the slopes of Zürs are accessible via the Rufikopf lift. The white knuckle riders can enjoy some arduous off-piste skiing in Lech, but with plenty of challenges still to be had on the available black runs.

Ambitious snowboarders can hone their skills on the 'Boarderland Lech' of Schlegelkopf-Hang, with its many pipes, jumps and slides.

Nightlife on a Lech ski holiday centres around the resort’s many atmospheric bars and cafés. Featuring over 55 restaurants, ranging from the gourmet to the simple, diners will be spoilt for choice.

The off-slope activities are an important part of the winter experience and no less so when skiing in Lech. Here ice skating, curling, snowshoe walking, sleigh rides and indoor golf can all be arranged. There’s even winter feeding of the high-alpine game to look forward to!
