Söll sits fairly low in the Alps at 703m, but it is part of the Ski Welt area, which opens up Austria’s largest ski circuit to all skiing abilities. This traditional village enjoys a lively night scene and much more besides.

Confident novices can progress to the Höhe Salve where there’s a 2.5 mile scenic family run, through the trees, back down to the village. Blue runs are aplenty in the Ski Welt region with over 250kms of rideable area connected by 90 lifts. A ski holiday in Söll exposes the fearless and the brave to several well-maintained blacks and a number of off-piste possibilities.

Snowboarders have a host of areas to keep them on their toes. Freeriders will enjoy the Höhe Salve, while the jumpers can test their mettle on the half-pipe and at the snowboard park. The freestyle park of Westendorf is also a must.

Nightlife on a Söll ski holiday is lively and plentiful, with every style of après ski covered. A variety of hopping bars and discos will surely keep revelers going till well past bedtime. For those who like to enjoy a good meal, there’s plenty of choice, with over 50 restaurants and cafés.

Off piste activities involve ice-skating, curling, tobogganing and bowling. Söll also boasts a sports centre with connecting indoor and outdoor pools, offering a bit of relaxation away from the snow.
