Seefeld sits on a south-facing plateau near the city of Innsbruck, at a height of 1180m. This pretty Austrian village has been home to the Winter Olympics on two occasions, so it’s well geared up for all ski abilities. There’s plenty to do off-piste too, with a host of winter activities and excursions for the non-skier to enjoy.

Beginners can really get to grips here with Seefeld’s excellent ski school and a selection of gentle slopes. Intermediates can look forward to a variety of runs, with the Gschwandtkopf catering well for the not-so-confident and the Rosshütte offering more of a challenge. Thrill seekers skiing in Seefeld might find the area a bit limiting, but there are a couple of testing runs on the Rosshütte. The heavily mogulled runs high up on the Seefelder Joch might offer more excitement and there are some guided off-piste possibilities on the Härmelekopf.

Snowboarders of all abilities won’t be disappointed. There’s a half-pipe and snowboard park and both intermediates and beginners can find suitable terrain on a Seefeld ski holiday.

Nightlife revolves around the many bars and cafés of the village. With 50 or so restaurants to choose from also, foodies won’t be disappointed either.

The enthusiastic might like to try their hand at ice-skating or cross country skiing, or perhaps something more sedate like a sleigh ride. Then there’s the popular pursuit of winter walking and no end of excursions to places like Salzburg and even Italy.

Winter-wonderland scenery, horse-drawn sleighs and a great atmosphere all combine to make Seefeld the perfect ski holiday destination.
