Pomorie is a historic town on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, twenty minutes from Bourgas airport. It has great beaches and a relaxed, laid back atmosphere.

The town sits on a narrow peninsula and is home to a four mile sandy beach with a backdrop of the Balkan Mountains. The calm water is ideal for watersports, like sailing, diving and fishing, as well as being very safe for children.

Picturesque with old cobbled streets and pretty seafront promenades, Pomorie is a perfect town to wander around. A healthy selection of shops and restaurants serving traditional Bulgarian food and wine are also in the town. Holidays in Pomorie offer a fairly quiet nightlife, but energetic clubs and bars can also be found in nearby Sunny Beach.

Possible excursions from Pomorie could include Bourgas city, which is home to the largest port in Bulgaria and a wealth of culture and sightseeing. A visit could also take place to the nearby historic town of Nessebar, while children will love a day out to the water park in Sunny Beach.
