Corralejo, on the north coast of Fuerteventura, is the island’s main tourist resort, with great beaches, year round sunshine and a lively atmosphere.

Once a sleepy fishing village, the now modern resort has managed to retain its charm. Corralejo has a few small town beaches that are flanked by a bustling promenade with great restaurants and bars. Visitors can also visit a larger 10 kilometre sandy beach in nearby Grandes Playas. Holidays here will appeal to beach lovers, as watersports of all descriptions are available.

The town itself is dynamic with a wealth of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Most activities can be found down at the town’s harbour, where ferries constantly depart to and arrive from neighbouring island Lanzarote. Corralejo holidays offer a diverse nightlife, with both energetic nightclubs and quiet bars.

There’s plenty to do in this resort, such as quad biking and jeep safaris. A ferry can be easily taken to Los Labos, a small uninhabited volcanic island for some peaceful snorkelling. The National Park, with the best sand dunes on the island, is also only a four kilometre drive away.

Corralejo is bound to be a winner with everyone.
