Costa Caleta is an idyllic resort, on the east coast of Fuerteventura, only seven kilometres from the island’s airport.

The resort once known as Caleta de Fuste, has developed a reputation as an ideal spot for couples and family holidays. The focal point of the resort is the pretty horse-shoe shaped bay that is sheltered from the Atlantic, making the water calm. These conditions are perfect for children and also excellent for all types of watersports, especially diving.

Holidays in Costa Caleta consist of a quiet network of pedestrianised streets with bars and restaurants and an attractive harbour and marina. Shops are dotted throughout the town, while there is also a Sunday market and the large Atlantico shopping centre close by.

The rest of Fuerteventura can be easily explored from the resort. Plenty of activities are also found in the resort itself, such as the Oceanarium at the harbour, with wonderful sea creatures. Boat trips can also be taken out to sea, where dolphins, whales and turtles can be spotted.

All in all, Costa Caleta is an attractive resort with all the necessary ingredients for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
