Playa Blanca is a tranquil resort on the southern coast of Lanzarote. Popular with families and couples, it has a low-key feel along with great holiday amenities.

The resort gives visitors access to a choice of fabulous beaches and bays. Playa Blanca is so-called because of its stretches of white sands – which offer sheltered sun-bathing, safe swimming and an array of watersports.

When not at the beach or in the sea, most holidaymakers can be found around the charming harbour area. Here, there is a great selection of restaurants and bars to choose from, which offer quiet al fresco meals and drinks. For something a little livelier on a Playa Blanca holiday, there are a few discos, but, in general, nightlife here is modest.

Although the resort is well-equipped and still developing, it retains a sense of tradition left over from its fishing village past. This, combined with great beaches, a reliably warm climate and plenty of evening options, makes Playa Blanca the perfect choice for an all-round Lanzarote holidays.
