Costa del Silencio is a small resort on the southcoast of Tenerife, next to the large resort of Playa de las Americas.

With a name meaning the ‘coast of silence’, this is exactly what the resort offers. Unlike the hustle and bustle found next door in Playa de las Americas, holidays in Costa del Silencio are all about relaxation. Days can be spent lazing in the sunshine or wandering around the pretty town.

Although low-key, there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, particularly on the waterfront with magnificent sea views. The local beach is relatively small and stony, but still perfect for some sunbathing. Sandier beaches can be easily reached further along the coastline. Evenings here are relaxed and calm, but wild night time fun is just a bus or taxi drive away (about 12km) in Playa de las Americas.

All in all, for a resort with total relaxation, but near plenty of activity, Costa del Silencio is ideal.
