Playa de las Americas on the southwest coast of Tenerife, is the island’s liveliest and most popular resort.

With endless sandy beaches, an array of activities and a vibrant nightlife, Playa de las Americas offers it all. By day, the resort revolves around its many sandy beaches, which are perfect for swimming, sunbathing and watersports. A long pedestrian promenade runs the length of the resort, connecting to neighbouring Los Cristianos and La Caleta. Lined with shops, bars and restaurants, it is a colourful hive of activity.

The resort really comes alive at night, with a vast selection of restaurants serving everything from fast-food to local Canarian specialities. ‘The Patch’ area is where most of the resort’s bars are, with live music, happy hours and karaoke. An extensive selection of clubs can be found in the beachside area known as ‘the Veronicas’.

Playa de las Americas holidays can also include day trips to the nearby Octopus waterpark or the Sky Park, where adventure sports like bungee jumping are available.
