Brides Les Bains, a pretty village nestling in the French Alps at a height of 600m, is convenient for the slopes of nearby Méribel and the Three Valleys linked area. Not as busy as its neighbours, but exuding charm and culture, this resort is ideal for skiers looking for something less frenetic.

Skiers new to the sport can start out on the numerous easy slopes by the Altiport and Rond Point des Pistes. This is real red run territory, perfect for intermediates. The Pic Noir runs from the Col de la Loze offer some stunning tree lined terrain, while the 5km red run from Combe du Vallon also merits a visit. With enough in the area to keep the very experienced busy too, Brides Les Bains really is the perfect all-rounder. The 'Les Bosses' black run and the fast Women's Olympic Downhill run on La Face, to name but a few of the challenges open to the expert.

The parks in Meribel and Mottaret offer great potential for snowboarders, not to mention the wide open runs and off-piste possibilities presented by the Three Valleys.

Nightlife is sedate and low key here, but there’s still plenty to occupy the visitor and that’s the joy of skiing in Brides Les Bains. Several health spas provide lots of rest and relaxation opportunities, while the casino is handy for those who fancy a flutter.

There’s enough in terms of eateries to spend many a pleasant evening, with shops to explore as well.

While Brides Les Bains is best known for its convenience to Méribel, it can still hold its own, when it comes to things to do.
