Les Arcs consists of four villages and spans an altitude of between 810m and 3225m. Making up the Paradiski area, which is linked to La Plagne, this massive purpose built ski zone makes for excellent skiing and skiers of all abilities will find something that suits. Arc 1800 is not only the biggest and the liveliest, but it also boasts the best snow conditions. Arc 2000 is better for more competent skiers, offering convenient doorstep skiing too. Arc 1600 is the oldest and the lowest, while Arc 1950 is the newest and most luxurious.

‘Ski Evolutif’ is a revolutionary method of teaching beginners, first pioneered in Les Arcs, making it, perhaps, the best resort for beginners and children. Using shorter skis, beginners learn how to stop, start and turn a lot faster than on conventional skis. When skiing in Les Arcs, the more confident can set out for the famous French Paradiski area. Here pretty tree lined runs into Pèisey Nancroix and Vallandry and a fantastic range of interlinked blue and red runs are on offer. Meanwhile, Les Arcs is the perfect playground for the expert. Here the possibilities are endless - 7km black drop from Aiguille Rouge into Villaroger, the mogul fields of Dou de l'Homme, and, not to mention, a stunning array of off-piste challenges.

Likewise, snowboarders will be more than happy with what’s on offer to them on a Les Arcs ski holiday, as for skiers, it presents opportunities for all levels.

Nightlife is varied and depends on which village you’ve chosen to stay at. From the lively to the sedate, every taste is catered for, with restaurants, bars and cafés aplenty to choose from.
