Kokkini Hani is a small and friendly resort on the north coast of Crete, 8 miles from the capital Heraklion.

The resort, with a sand and shingle beach, is set in the countryside and attracts families and couples. Lying close to other larger resorts, it provides a perfect holiday opportunity to explore the rest of the island, Heraklion in particular.

Kokkini Hani has all the necessary ingredients for a perfect sun holiday. The gently sloping beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming, as well as watersports. Plenty of activities can be found away from the beach, with jeep safaris offering a great way to explore the unspoilt countryside and a water park in nearby Hersonissos.

The resort doesn’t have too energetic a nightlife, but its close proximity to Heraklion means that wild nights can be easily achieved. A wide range of shops can also be found there, as well as the interesting archaeological museum.

Kokkini Hani is an enjoyable and relaxing family resort with plenty of attractions and amenities, yet the delights of the rest of Crete are never too far away.
