Koutouloufari is a pretty, traditional village that sits on a hill above the party resort of Hersonissos on the north coast of Crete.

The resort appeals to holidaymakers looking for something peaceful, but within easy reach of the facilities and nightlife of Hersonissos. Sitting on a hillside with excellent views of the surrounding bay and port, the village has retained its traditional look and feel. Picturesque and brimming with character, it has plenty of shops and restaurants, while Hersonissos, only half a mile down the hill, is an established party spot.

A selection of beaches is on offer on Koutouloufari holidays and the beaches in the area boast some of the island’s best watersport facilities. Days in the sun can also be spent at the village pool, strolling around the shops and visiting the local tavernas, with spectacular views across the sea.    

The beautiful countryside makes the area appealing to nature and hiking enthusiasts. The nearby village of Piskopiano is well worth a visit, while boat trips can be taken to other beaches and neighbouring islands.
