Kardamena is a popular party resort on the south coast of Kos, 15 miles from Kos Town.

The resort has the biggest party atmosphere on the island and is extremely popular among young people looking for sun, sea, sand and nightlife. Once a small fishing village, it is now a two mile long holiday resort packed with many restaurants and over 100 bars and lively clubs.

The beach in Kardamena is a sandy favourite for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Swimming and watersports such as parasailing and waterskiing are other ways to while away days on the beach. If the stretch of sand ever gets overcrowded, more secluded beaches continue all along the coastline.

Holidays in Kardamena very much centre on wild nights and beach days, but relaxing evenings can be enjoyed in some of the excellent restaurants. A popular excursion is a boat trip to the active volcano on the tiny island of Nissyros. Cosmopolitan Kos Town is another worthy trip, while a trip can even be made by boat to Turkey.
