Kos Town is the main town of Kos and is based on the island’s north east coast.

Dating back to 366 BC, the town is a mix of history, culture, entertainment and nightlife. Holidays in Kos Town attract all types of visitors with its vast range of things to do and see. While known for its raucous nightlife, the historical Greek and Roman ruins dotted throughout the town cannot be underestimated.

The nightlife in Kos Town is thriving, with over 200 bars and clubs, some of which are 24 hour. The ‘Eksaria’ harbour comes truly alive at night, packed with young people looking for a party. The harbour is also the hub of the resort during the day before darkness descends, with pleasant restaurants and tavernas overlooking the water.

The beach is the beginning of an enormous stretch of sand that continues to the south of the island. Holidaymakers here have several beaches to choose from and watersports can be found at the harbour. Historical sights are aplenty, like the Castle of the Knights, the famous Hippocrates Tree in the Kos Archaeological museum and the Roman amphitheatre.
