Ornos is a small and quaint beach resort on the outskirts of the energetic capital Mykonos Town, on the south west coast of the island.

The beach here is large and excellent for swimming, with the sand gently sloping towards the sea. A range of watersports are on offer, as well as a diving, waterskiing and windsurfing school. But, away from the beach, Ornos is a thriving resort packed with restaurants, bars and shops.

The resort is a great holiday base from which to explore the rest of the island. Just inland lies the original village of the resort, climbing steeply into the surrounding hills. The ancient island of Delos can be visited by boat, where the history is evident in statues, temples and market places. Mykonos Town is just around the corner too, great for day trips and nights out.
