Kamari is a beautiful beach resort on the east coast of Santorini, only 10 kilometres from the capital.

The resort has a volcanic past, with an eruption 3600 years ago leading to the formation of the world’s longest cauldron. Holidays in Kamari are some of the most popular in the region, as it lies on the sea but is close to the vibrant capital.

Kamari holidays very much centre on the beautiful dark volcanic sandy beach that stretches for over 2 kilometres. A weekly market brings colour and life to the resort and Byzantine churches and forts provide sightseeing opportunities. Boat trips are very popular to places like the Nea Kameni volcano, while the beauty spots of Oia and Fira can also be visited.
