Away from the coast, the cobbled town is brimming with character. It is mostly pedestrianised and there are plenty of attractions to take in – old churches, shady green areas and a small zoo.

For evening entertainment, it has a great selection of bars and restaurants, both stylish and traditional. A Cascais holiday should also include a trip to the casino in nearby Estoril.
