A delightful village with a Bohemian atmosphere, Kas offers secluded bays and two pebble beaches, whilst from the harbour, local boats will ferry you to secluded inlets. As the day closes, alfresco dining at a restaurant overlooking the harbour or the illuminated hillside rock tombs is the most pleasant way to spend the evening. To the west of Kas, along a breathtaking coastal road with fabulous views of the surrounding islands is Kalkan. Looking every inch the perfect Mediterranean harbour, it is nestled in an amphitheatre style around the bay. There is no real beach here, so holidaymakers head for one of the nearby beach clubs and bathing platforms, reached by frequent shuttle boats across the harbour. Alternatively, Kaputas Beach is a short dolmus ride away, boasting white shingle sands and the clearest turquoise waters, which are perfect for snorkelling. An evening drink by the pretty marina is the perfect way to end the day.
