good value budget accommodation, decent hotel

Recently stayed here, found it to be good value for money and a decent hotel. If you can, ask for a room with a balcony, we thought they looked much nicer than the ones with a terrace which is what we got. The hotel is at the top of a hill so I’d bear this in mind if you have mobility problems. The food was very hit&miss – the breakfasts never varied and was alright. Some days the lunch and dinner was great, others not. We particularly enjoyed one night when they had a Chinese selection. The entertainment was not great, depends on what you’re into I suppose but we found it very boring and old-fashioned. I’d recommend getting a taxi to the beach and into Puerto Rico because fares are so cheap with an average fare being €2.50 - €4.00, it’s well worth it. All in all, we had a good stay here and would recommend altamadores to anyone looking for a relaxed budget holiday.
