Club Siroco is not bad if you want a Quiet family holiday!

Stayed in this hotel last week. We got a friendly welcome on arrival, as Thomas cook booked our room for the week we had a choice of third or second floor with my Better half 30 wk's Pregnant we chose the second floor. The room had been recently refurbished only the bath had taken a bit of wear and tear from use and the hard water. Lovely pool and sun bathing area with a pool side bar. The small mini market was a total rip off but a few hundred yards down the road there were plenty of supermarkets at very reasonable prices. At the front of the hotel there’s a Sports bar called Sunset all part of the hotel, food not bad and not to dear Pint of local beer €2.50 Burger and chips around €5.30. Around 7-9am & 5-7pm a smell of sewage came from our Bathroom, disgusting. Made a complaint and told it was fixed same problem every day and night keep on complaining about it until Thursday evening the friendly receptionist who checked us in said that when the construction took place the builders had made a mistake with the pipes that had been laid for sewage. There wasn’t another room for us to move into that evening, but we were told if we complained the next morning and demanded that we wanted to change our room that it would be no problem. We only had one more Day so we said that we would stomach it for another day. There’s great entertainment for kids in the hotel across the road called Sandy Beach. Right on the sea front there’s a pub called Ryan's where you can get a quarter pounder with cheese, chips & a glass of local beer for €4.50. For an ice cold Beer to wash it down it was only €1.40. Across from Ryan's there was another cafe come bar called Surf-wings which charged €2 for a full breakfast, not bad. There’s lot's of restaurants for any taste working out for a good meal along with a bottle of wine for around €25. Nice Resort would travel again only if that problem with the sewage was sorted out!
