Cheap and cheerful

We stayed here a while ago now, myself and my grown up daughter went for a few days. We went self-catering which was a mixed blessing really. The kitchen was very basic, and while it was nice to be able to get up and have breakfast whenever it suited us, we had to pay extra to use everything in the kitchen kettle, microwave etc. There was even a charge to use the TV remote and the telly’s pay per view at €1 an hour. The apartments were nice but a little dated. This forced us to get out and about though and after a couple of days we hired a car to see more of the island. I was a bit anxious driving in a strange country but it was okay, there weren’t too many cars on the road and the signs were easy to understand. The location is fantastic. There’s 3 beaches and 8 or so supermarkets within walking distance and loads of restaurants and bars. It was cheap and cheerful; all we wanted was somewhere comfortable to lay our heads so we got what we wanted.
