LYDA BEACH ,GREAT HOTEL

We have been going to the Lyda Hotel since 1998 always enjoy our holiday the staff are just fab all have time for guests and the join in the fun. The Lyda is across the road from a clean and safe beach and not far from the village of Gouves(Kato Gouves). There you will find lots of shops bars and cafes. A short taxi journey will bring you to the old village of Gouves (Pano Gouves). Around the corner from Lyda Beach you will find lots of bars to eat and drink. The Rainbow Music bar is a must, good food n beer 100%. Also there is a safe play area for children at the Rainbow. The owner George has all the sattellite channels (GAA too) so you will feel like you are in your local. For the young folk there is the clubs in Hersonniss a 20 minuet taxi ride and for the very young children there is Sea World. The bus calls to Lyda Beach every day. For the serious shopers there is the Tuesday market in heraklion... not forgetting Valentians hotel just accross from Lyda Appartments. Valentina has a wonderful bar and the drinks are very reasonable. We bet you will love Valentina and her family. we holiday at the Lyda in June and Sepetember and love every moment . lyda beach

The area around the lyda beach is fantastic. I stayed there with my 12yr old son last year and we had a great time. Its family run and very friendly. The food was excellent. The beach is straight across the road literally. so relaxing.
