I stayed at the Golf Residence Hotel in May 2010 for 1 week. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Some rooms dated decor but very clean. Close to Marina and shopping. Just remember to bargain for everything when shopping if you don't try you don't get. The food was very good, plenty to choose from, just don't expect bacon and sausage in a Muslim country. The pool area was very clean. Would recommend a visit.

Stayed here in 2007, weather thankfully was very hot so did not need to stay in hotel. Rooms were poorly fit out, bathroom was dirty, shower very poor. Food was included but after 1 night we ate out. Pool area was well kept & in good condition, staff were friendly, in fact too friendly on occasions as they tout for tips all the time. Would not go back.
