Fethiye is a port town with a rich history dating back 3000 years. Nowadays, it is a thriving resort for tourists, who come to enjoy its picturesque scenery, Mediterranean climate and wealth of attractions.

The ancient town is built into the side of the Taurus Mountains and overlooks a stunning bay. The bay is dotted with small islands and hosts a naturally occurring harbour. Its beach area is exceptional and is regarded by some to be one of the prettiest in the Mediterranean. Holidays in Fethiye are ideal for those who love to sunbathe, snorkel or dive.

The site where the charming town of Fethiye now lies once belonged to the ancient city of Telmessos. Much of the area’s architecture was destroyed by an earthquake in the 1950s, but historically minded holidaymakers can visit the local museum to learn about the region’s rich past.
