Torrox is a resort made up of two parts. Its centre is typically Andalusian and retains a real Spanish feel. Towards the beach is a purpose-built area with excellent facilities and modern accommodation.
The town is enveloped by vineyards and clings on to a steep slope. Its elevation affords wonderful views out over the ocean. Torrox’s architecture and layout has been heavily influenced by its Moorish predecessors. The sun-drenched main square is where both locals and holidaymakers relax during the day, as it is lined with lovely cafes and restaurants.
Towards the shore are two promenades and a long expanse of sandy beach. This coastal part of the town is where nightlife on a Torrox holiday will take place. There is a healthy selection of bars and restaurants along the boardwalk, but evenings are never too boisterous.
This resort will appeal to travellers looking for a relaxed holiday, which combines both modern amenities and a peek into an authentic part of Spain.
